Chris Harris Tests The World’s Best Performance Cars In Top Gear’s Speed Week

Top Gear recently conducted its Speed Week for its magazine title and has previewed the mega-test with a thrilling video.

Every year, Top Gear Magazine brings together some of the industry’s finest performance cars for its Speed Week test and for 2020, the line-up is very impressive. A host of videos from the test can be expected to hit YouTube in the coming weeks, but the test (and its results) is already available in the latest issue of the publication.

In total, 16 cars were tested that, combined, produce an extraordinary 8,553 hp. While most are production cars you can go into a showroom and buy, Top Gear was also able to test the Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400 that was unveiled last July, complete with seven electric motors and a combined 1,400 hp.

Other cars tested include the Ferrari F8 Tributo, McLaren 765LT, Porsche 911 Turbo S, VW Golf GTI, Ariel Nomad, Alpine A110S, Audi RS6, BMW M2 CS, Lamborghini Huracan Evo, Mini JCW GP, Aston Martin Vantage Roadster, Porsche Taycan Turbo S and a few others.

During this brief clip, Chris Harris gives us his brief thoughts on a few of Speed Week’s highlights, like the McLaren 765LT, BMW M2 CS, Porsche 911 Turbo S, and the Ferrari F8 Tributo. Of these cars, it’s perhaps the 765LT that is the most eagerly anticipated, but much to our surprise, Harris wasn’t blown away by it.
